Hey native geeks, once again we make it to the end of the week, and it is time for a bullet-point speed summary of TTRPG news.
All without a Zoom conference call involved.
Once again the RPG community has been generous and kind. Watch the Free to Download tag page for a running total or keep reading to see the new RPG entries. That said, the impact of the global crisis is taking its toll on publishers, and our hobby might not look the same after this.
If you’re stuck inside and restless, then why not try Short Film Roulette. I launched this “game” on Geek Native last month by providing a link to randomly take you to a short film recommendation on the blog. Those films have collected up over the last decade and don’t make the RPG summary posts. It’s roulette, though, you might find yourself watching a 5-minute horror.

- Geek Native reviewed the ‘troubled’ Dishonored RPG.
- Wizards of the Coast issued errata for four different Dungeons & Dragons books.
- Wizards of the Coast have also been giving away D&D goodies, for free, every day.
- Hunters Entertainment are ramping up their Werewolf: The Apocalypse activity, first with a Whispers of Luna and then a writers video.
- Roll20 has a ‘free activation’ of the popular D&D adventure Lost Mine of Phandelver.
- Osprey Publishing has made the very popular Frostgrave miniatures game free to download.
- Osprey will also publish the Those Dark Places RPG.
- Red Scar has published Devil’s Run RPG, based on the board game of the same name.
- Sine Nomine’s Godbound is in the Bundle of Holding.
- An official D&D 5e contributor has been named in an open legal as an online harasser.
- The Origins Game Fair has been rescheduled, and a new Origins Online announced.
- The Crystal Heart (Savage Worlds) campaign setting and accompanying graphic novels are Pay What You Want.

- Systemsx Emotion published a “Name Your Own Price” RPG GEAR 9,000: Anime Street Racers.
- Former RPG Publisher Spotlight winner 2 Head Turtle published Unhatched and EXTRA+ORDINARY.
- Nightfall Games published a progress report on their Kickstarter project SLA Industries 2. In a break with tradition, this report is a 16-paged PDF that includes new material. It’s a Pay What You Want with a suggested price of $0.60. A pay for your Kickstarter progress report.
- Been delighting co-workers with your range of Zoom Backgrounds? Call of Cthulhu publisher Chaosium has some free virtual backgrounds for you.

RPG Crowdfunding
You can see those Kickstarters and other crowdfunding campaigns that caught Geek Native’s attention over at Kickstarter watch. Here are some industry projects worth a mention;
- Andy Hand, the founder of Cheatin’ Fair Games and Co-Founder of Limitless Adventures, has funded the 5e setting The Secrets of Warwick Village.
- Atlas Worlds is working on software to help make sense of note-taking and character/NPC relationships easier to track. Compared to similar projects, they’re asking for very little money.
- Joshua Cade already sells Dungeon Tape, but they have taken to Kickstarter with Dungeon Packs: Tools for creating better custom TTRPG maps.
- FGDystopia is expanding on their game Delve by creating a whole planet (of rust) in Stranded.
- FASA has success with Earthdawn 4th Edition – Iopos: Lair of Deceit.
- Rory Voie is working on a Troika game called Delta Gamma vs Draculas.
- Ryan Borgeson is Kickstarting STL files for D&D and Pathfinder minis in Heroes of Sol’an.
- Laidback Dungeon Master has put 10 one-shot adventures together in a campaign called Dungeons Your Party Will Die For.
- Jesse Day is a 17-year-old with a modern fantasy setting for 5e called The Expanse.
